Making Life Better
In 2024 we are putting things in motion to make life better for our dogs here in Texas. Our goals include adding a building on the property to expand by 8 to 10 more kennels. This building will have dedicated power, heating/cooling, play yards, and spacious indoor housing. A small portion of the building will have storage for food and other supplies so that we can hold more in donated items for future use. Please consider supporting us as we build a better future.
Rescue Housing
We have purchased 4 kennel runs to give a larger run space for the dogs indoors. We need to still purchase 4 extra doors to use all the panels. We may end up needed another kennel kit and another door depending on the building we are able to purchase.
The Space
Our property in Corsicana, Texas was purchased with the goal and vision of expansion to a rescue facility in mind. We have started with retrofitting an old, small woodshop area into a functional, insulated, heated and cooled kennel with adjoining play yards to provide appropriate physical stimlation and mental enrichment. The goal is to build a new structure to expand capacity while improving on those standards of care.
The Reason
We have had to close our doors for intake since January 2023 with very limited numbers coming in. This made 2023 extremely difficult emotionally. We would like to have the ability to say YES.

Additionally, we hope that 2 kennels will be for a pet retention or emergency placement case to assist our community in times of need. This new building will help us expand on those goals to support those that support us.

A new building to provide safe housing has been quoted at $14,000 for the building alone.
